Topsy Farms - Worsted Weight

We have a limited amount of extra Topsy Farms skeins from our January box for the Beyond Merino Yarn Club, which we're making available to yarn club members. If you'd like your purchase of additional skeins to be shipped with your March yarn club box, please use the coupon code provided in your email to avoid extra shipping charges. If you would prefer not to wait, please do not use the code; shipping will be calculated at checkout and we will ship your order right away.

This yarn is a lovely worsted-spun 2-ply yarn, spun in Quebec from wool grown on Topsy Farms in Ontario. The sheep at Topsy Farm are a blend of Suffolk, Rideau-Arcott, and Border Cheviot, and their fleece produces a very lofty and springy yarn.

This versatile yarn could be worked at a tight gauge to make warm and hard-wearing projects (such as mittens), or at a looser gauge for more drape (great for garments or scarves). It has a slightly uneven texture that gives character to the fabric, but may not be the best choice for some patterns (like intricate cables).

Note: "Pamplemousse" was this month's warm colour option, "Coconut Shell" was the neutral option, and "Palm Frond" was the cool option. "Punchy Pamplemousse" and "Dappled Pamplemousse" are batches of test skeins that were created during our development process. Since we had enough yarn, we've also added some extra colour options this month!
