Foehn Hoodie

DESIGNED BY ELIZABETH SULLIVAN

Pattern Sizing and Materials

This casual hoodie is knit with a fingering weight yarn held double, creating a fabric that drapes nicely and is cozy without being bulky. It’s quick to knit, with a simple stripe pattern, set-in sleeves and waist shaping.

This sweater is designed to be worn with 0-2" of ease. Size 32" shown modeled with 1" of positive ease.

This pattern is also available as part of the Cloudy Day Collection.

Designer's note: This pattern was originally named Chinook Hoodie for the chinook winds in western Canada. After learning that Chinook can also refer to the Chinook people, I was no longer comfortable with this name as it felt like it was culturally appropriative. Foehn winds are another name for Chinook winds, so the pattern is now named Foehn Hoodie.
