Disdero Ranch CVM/Corriedale - Worsted Weight (limited edition)

8 items left

We have a limited amount of extra CVMco (CVM x Corridale) skeins from our July box for the Beyond Merino Yarn Club, which we're now making available to everyone, including non-members.

Our yarn for this month is a bouncy and soft woollen-spun 2-ply worsted weight, sourced from Disdero Ranch in Tappen, BC. Their CVM/Corriedale cross sheep produce wonderful fibre, in many different shades.

For the undyed skeins in this month’s club boxes, we chose to include a dark brown wool, which Disdero refers to as their “Burnt Umber” shade. For the hand-dyed skeins, we started with their white (“Chalk”) wool, as that gave us much more flexibilty in creating colours with a good amount of contrast.

This yarn is on the thicker end of the worsted weight spectrum, and we found it worked up nicely on 4.5 to 5.5mm needles. It makes beautiful cables, and would also be a great choice for colourwork.

Notes

"Star Anise" was this month's neutral colour option, "Salvia" was the cool option, and "Paprika" was the warm option.
