Cheviot - Bulky Weight (limited edition)
Sold out $31.00 CAD
We have a limited amount of extra (almost) North Country Cheviot skeins from our July box for the Beyond Merino Yarn Club, which we're making available to everyone.
This yarn was sourced from Glen Alwin Farm in Tsolum, BC. It’s a “century” farm, which means the land has been in production by the same family for over 100 years.
The yarn was milled at Custom Woolen Mills, one of Canada’s best known and busiest mills. They run a mule spinner system, and as a result their woolen-spun yarns are lofty, rustic, and great for sweaters, mitts, and hats. This yarn has a different twist structure than many of the other yarns we’ve seen – the singles are spun “S” and then plied “Z”.
Note: "Coral Bush" was this month's warm colour option, "Desert" was the neutral option, and "Fern" was the cool option. Since we had a lot of yarn this time (we bought every skein the farmer had available), we've added some extra colour options this month, as well as some "one-of-a-kind" skeins created during our colour development process.
